Message from Pastor Soedi                                          

       This is the GOOD NEWS for you and me. Jesus is inviting us by saying: " Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28; King James Version). He is promising us "rest" and not "stress". And we believe that HIS promise is always true. He never lies. That's the reason we believe that we should live in that "rest" when we come to Jesus.
       We believe that we were sinners saved by grace. We are made righteous because of Jesus' work at the cross. It is the finished work of Jesus at the cross that made it possible for us to live in that "rest". No one can find that "rest" with his own strength. We need HIS saving grace in order to be saved. Apostle Paul reminds us, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Eph. 2:8-9; King James Version). And again in 2 Timothy 1:9 he says that the LORD "hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began," (2 Timothy 1:9; King James Version).
       We truly believe that we are saved so that we will glorify the LORD. "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:" (1Pet. 2:9; King James Version). And we glorify the LORD by doing good thing and avoiding the bad. We are doing this not because we want to be saved but because we have been saved by the grace of God. Our attitude is based on gratitude. We are thankful for the grace of God that has been given to us. That is the reason for us to be graceful to others.
